Maintenance

Maintenance is a on-going project inspired by Robson’s relationship with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), concentrating on the repetitive nature of compulsions and its personal impact.

Robson was inspired to use a lawnmower as the subject matter as there is a housing estate that has been abandoned near her home; however, someone maintains the gardens of each house. She drew parallels between the oddness of maintaining something that does not need to be done to her own feelings towards her compulsions.

This project will be exhibited at Edinburgh Napier University Degree Show, May 2025, and Free Range at The Truman Brewery in London, July 2025.
